Monitoring

Today’s modern alarm systems are monitored by ‘single’ or ‘dual-path communications, via the Internet and cellular networks, that transmit to the alarm monitoring station. These methods are far superior to the conventional POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) or VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) transmissions.  Alarm signals are relayed to police and fire authorities and the

Intrusion Prevention Equipment

There is specific technology used to allow a system to be considered intrusion prevention.

Glass break detectors are a very important part of intrusion prevention or intrusion detection. When the high pitch of a glass break happens, the alarm goes off to warn you of the break-in and alerts your alarm company.

Cameras show you and the monitoring company what is happening. This can be especially helpful if you follow our recommended places to put cameras. Ultimately you decide where the cameras go, so you want to make sure it is at a place and angle where it can capture a full view of what is happening.

Door and window sensors are two small magnetic pieces, one placed on the door or window, and the other on the frame. When the door or window opens, the sensors are separated and it alerts you of the detected intruder.

Motion detectors perform a similar function to a camera or a door detector. If no one is supposed to be in the home and the alarm is ready, it will alert you if motion is detected. If you decide you don’t want cameras, at least get a motion detector. It allows us to see in your home without actually seeing it.

Locks are a very basic form of intrusion prevention. It is as simple as remembering to lock the door when you leave the house, even if you will be gone for 5 minutes. You never know if someone is watching or waiting for the opportunity to creep in and rob or hurt you. Lock your doors. It is so simple and it is also one of the first things an intruder will try before breaking glass. This is another one of our favorite smart home security functions, as you can lock your door remotely.

Loud noises like sirens ward off intruders. Once the alarm sounds, reinforcement arrives quickly to investigate the scene and intruders know this.

To give yourself the most security, install a monitoring system. Ours is a 5-diamond rated system, bringing you the maximum security you deserve. A monitoring system can protect you and even indicate what type of emergency it is. This ensures you receive the proper help as fast as possible.
